Our practice is growing, and to meet the increasing demand for high-end houses, we seek to recruit two new employees: a Senior Associate and a Project Architect, to oversee the delivery of projects on time, to budget and to the highest quality.

SENIOR ASSOCIATE

The key areas of the role are:

      1.   Overseeing the delivery of projects

  • Establish Project Plan
    1. Project set up
    2. Project Planning
  • Support the Project Architect in running of the project
  • Support the Project Architect in delivery of the project (drawings, specification etc. depending on project to project)
  • Actively monitor projects to ensure they run on time and budget with deadlines met.
  • Identify project risk and propose elimination and mitigation
  • Prepare fortnightly progress reports for the Management Team.
  • QA for projects

      2.   Contributing to business development

  • Work with the Operations Director to implement the Business Development Plan and office systems in the running of projects.
  • Actively seek to improve and streamline office procedures
  • Maintain existing and develop new client relationships and networks.

      3.   Act as senior client contact:

  • Assist the Project Architect in client liaison
  • Be the senior client liaison in key decisions

      4.   Staff Management

  • Coach and mentor Project Architects and Architectural Assistants

 Qualities and Skills Required:

  1. Min 10 years post part 3 experience
  2. Excellent prioritisation, time management and organisational skills
  3. Documented job running experience
  4. Excellent written and spoken English
  5. Experience with UK construction industry and JCT contracts.
  6. A generic business understanding
  7. Relevant IT Skills, such as VectorWorks, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, MS Suite, Project Management Software such as Merlin and Monday.com

Salary commensurate with experience, within salary band £50-60K. A relocation bonus is available for the right candidate.

PROJECT ARCHITECT

Key Areas are:

      1.    Responsible for the day to day running of projects

  • Delivery of Project in accordance with Project Plan
  • Work to agreed deadlines and budgets
  • Ensure that QA items and checklists are adhered to

       2.   Contribute to business development

  • Delivery of Project in accordance with Project Plan
  • Work to agreed deadlines and budgets
  • Ensure that QA items and checklists are adhered to

       3.   Daily client contact

  • Be the clients’ main point of contact for the project
  • Keep the client up to date of project progress

 

Qualities and Skills Required:

  1. Experience delivering contemporary high-end residential work
  2. Have experience and confidence in liaising with clients, contractors and consultant teams
  3. A strong design portfolio
  4. Documented technical and detailing experience
  5. Job-running experience; particular at Stage 4 and onwards
  6. Ability to work as part of a team but also individually - must be able to take initiative and be creative
  7. Ability to work to a varying workload and tight deadlines
  8. Excellent written and spoken English
  9. Excellent SketchUp skills
  10. Proficient in CAD (we use Vectorworks) and Adobe Suite,
  11. Attention to detail is essential – in design, but also writing and presentation of work
  12. Full UK/ EU Driving license
