Another successful planning application! We’re pleased to announce that our latest private house has just been approved, and we look forward to starting the technical design for this exciting new home.

After evaluating the original 1960’s modernist house that currently stands on the site, it was deemed too expensive and difficult to renovate and adapt it. Instead, the intention is to demolish it and build a replacement dwelling that better serves the family’s needs, and really makes the most of the site.

The sloping site offers the opportunity to create 3 storeys of accommodation, without creating an unduly large or imposing structure. We worked hard to place the three volumes in the most appropriate locations, so as to use the mature trees around the site as screening to neighbours, whilst still maximising the long views from the master suite. The entrance level is partially sunk into the ground, providing a discreet entrance and driveway that doesn’t impinge on views out from the main floor in the middle of the house.

We are looking to start construction on site as soon as possible, so watch this space for further updates.
