Mews House 2

As a result of our commission for Mews House 1, the owners of the next door property contacted us and requested that we also remodel and extend their slightly smaller mews house.

The existing 2-storey house will be reconfigured to include a single basement level, as well as removing the current pitched roof in order to replace it with a master bedroom suite at the top of the house.

Roof lights on the top storey work together with an internal void at the rear of the property to deliver daylight to all floors.  The rooftop volume is set back from the front of the house, in order to minimise impact on the street scene.

As with Mews House 1, the mews is located in a conservation area within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, and as such, our proposals have had to be sympathetic to planning constraints and surrounding context.

The project is at the technical drawings phase, and should be on-site January 2018.
